    Could be a small crack in the flex plate. They can drive you crazy, until they get worse and more obvious. I had one that clicked like that for a year or so, only found it when I pulled the engine for an unrelated failure.

    Could be muffler baffles, push up on the bottom of the muffler, if it stops "rattling" that's the problem!
