The 216 is a babbit pounder, if it ever failed, it's gonna cost you over $3k for a basic rebuild, need special tooling to line up the oil dippers on the crank, and you would almost have to send the block to chevsofthe40s to have the main bearings re poured. also, it's a low preassure oiler, anything over 3,500 rpm, for an extended period of time, could kill it. cruising speed, was right around 2,500 RPM.You don't know what you've got til it's gone
