tires
What is the difference in a Bias tire and a Radial tire, and which would
be the best for a pro st car?

I'm not an expert, but those terms refer to the condtruction of the cord body that the rubber surrounds. I'm not sure about the giant tires, but generally bias ply tires are antiques. The radial tire was superior in many ways, which is why the bias ply has almost disappeared from sight.

Here's the story. It refers to agriculteral tires, but the theory is the same.

Unless you're building a resto-rod or nostalgia car, use radials. Stronger, safer, handle better.Last edited by Henry Rifle; 08-18-2007 at 04:19 PM.
