    tilt/telescope column

I bought a tilt/telescope column from a 66 Chrysler Imperial off of E-bay. It didnt come with a steering wheel and I dont see any kind of lock/release lever for the telescope function. Right now the shaft just slides freely back and forth. Does anyone know how the telescope funcion locked into one position on these?

There was at one time a lever that was at the top of the column. It would fit between the wheel and the column. If you want to make it fixed.Get a real short set screww and put it in right in the center of the column where the wheel bolts on.
