in NY we don't have titles for anything pre 1973, applying for lost registration is nothing. did it on my '67 Falcon, I could have used a bogus vin trace and still got it ( you have to get the trace yourself ), didn't have to, cause the car was legal and all.You don't know what you've got til it's gone
