    One further comment and then I'll shut up.

    I started out with a set of 32 re-pro mirrors on the 32, but you couldn't see jack with them.
    They were good quality mirrors, but the drivers side mirror didn't do a lot and forget trying to see anything out of the passenger mirror.

    They're still up on the shelf gathering dust....

    Peeps should work okay on a chopped Mer, and thelir cheap too. Only problem I have with peeps or any other short shaft mirrors is on the 34 sedan where the rear body is wider that the front front which makes it difficult to see behind you unless your mirror arms extend the mirrors out at least 5 inches. But for most 40's cars and 50's, that shouldn't be a problem.
