The huge wheels seem to be the rage right now. However, the wrong choice can really screw up the balance of a car. A car as classic as yours doesn't need much on the outside. It's a classic muscle car style. There were only 1240 of those guys made, so think it through.
I'm not sure why you couldn't find a manifold. Edelbrock PN 2750 Performer intake will adapt a 40bbl carb to your 2-bbl heads. Check the following page - 4th paragraph down. Couple with that with a 600 CFM performer carb, and you have the intake taken care of. However, you should also look at a good dual exhaust system. Summit has a good selection of ring/pinion gears for the rear axle also. You just have to find out what rear end you have.
