I am about to buy a 1979 1 ton dump truck for the engine , and I was wondering if it is going to be a 100 percent chance that chevy put 4 bolt main block in these trucks. I am going to try to see the casting #'s but I dont know if I can get to them. The guy says that it is the origanal motor.
I have in the past checked casting #'s and the block turned out to be a 2 bolt when I opened it up.
