    302 or 360

heres my problem, i've got a 53 ford pickup, its set up for a 360 but i cant find any motor mounts. Should i just go with a 302, being that ii can find as many parts as i want for one? or should i keep the 360 and fab some mounts? any suggestions would help..... im not to worried about performance, its gonna be my daily driver.

Assuming you mean a 360 Ford, its a dog. Use a 302, or as Dennyw sez, a 351. The '53 is light enough to have some zip with the 302, and get good mileage. Find a hi po one from a Mustang, save time and money over modifying one from a sedan.

The 302 would be a lot better engine in a daily driver. The FE's are notorious for rotten gas mileage. Use the 302, and if you want to add some performance to it later on, just build one with a 347 stroker kit and a set of aluminum heads....
