and If I use a fish scale how do i know what reading will be equivalent to 25 inch / lbs?????????

I always used the old one, I would get the pre-load on the bearing that I wanted , ping the pinion nut so it can't back off and go racing. I have add a shim to the crush sleeve if I thought I need it. it take about 400 lb. to collapse the sleeve. you need a torque multiplier to do it with, but I haven't seen one sense I left the GM dealer 30 yrs ago. 25 in./lbs. is not much drag.Mike
