Ok, it’s just me, I have never built an old rod, but I am leaning towards big wheels. I know that the original cars never had them, but so what? I like those wheels on the orange beast. What I don’t like is all the colour, it is too much of the same. I like the way it is broken up with a black stripe across the rear of the car. What I might tend to do is add a complimentary colour across the bottom eight inches of the sides of the car. Hey, that’s just me.Objects in my rear view mirror are a good thing unless,.... they have red and blue lights flashing.

like a two tone type of thing...thats a good idea.
keep them coming, i want to take what this guy did to his car, and twist it up, make it my own style...he just provided a good baseplate to start on.
The reason i don't like the big wheels is that
a) the are more expensive
b) the tires are double that of regular tires
c) the tires that u use for them not only get terrible traction, they don't last very long, and last they don't ride very well, very choppy and rough. The look doesn't matter too much to me on the reason i don't like them. It's also just that i have old fashion morals...Cars weren't made with rubber bands for tires, why should i want to change that?

the rear roll pan does away with the bumper and you fill the hole up with the roll pan. on the front they are caled Air Dams, Valances, bumper Covers, i guess a air dam is about the same thing as a roll pan.Originally posted by Hopper111
Maybe someone on here can clarify for me...Is that a front rollpan? I can't really tell...Mike

Hey Hopper, I only mention this because of the colour it is. I find two colors very susceptible to being too much. One is the colour orange and the other is yellow. These two colours alone can be too dark, too light, or just plain too much. If that same car was solid, red, blue, green etc, it would be no problem. At least that’s my opinion.Originally posted by Hopper111

So when you use orange or yellow, you need to break it up a little. Even decals can be enough.Objects in my rear view mirror are a good thing unless,.... they have red and blue lights flashing.
