Reason I prefer the track bar is that it moves at the same rate and in the same arc of travel as the lower bars... Things do move around down there a lot when you drop the hammer with some sticky...

Equal length, parallel 4 bar is easy, as others have mentioned...
well I decided to do another mod to gain max travel of bars past the intended travel points just for that peace of mind. 1/8 inch is to close so now I'll have 1/2" or better. I cut a 3/16" wall...
