1.6 rockers actually add performance without stress But I would never expect a guy that runs a gear drive to understand this, lol. I like the whine, not in my engines though.....

My Hot Cam reference is is towards a Gen II...
My Hot Cam reference is is towards a Gen II platform which is nothing different than a Gen I except roller lifters. Gen III is totally different and not in this discussion.

Where did you dream this up? Lobe lift dictates everything. If the lobe is stable, 1.6 rockers are a benefit.
Less lobe for the same lift makes more power. Read up here Why in the he!! do...
We did end up finding part of the problem, we did not put O-rings on the distributor shaft which was sending oil up the shaft instead of sending it to the lifters, adding O-rings quieted it down but...
