well it very well could be a 454 and for stock use it very well could of work. but i think the 454 has more conterweight even the balancer bolt on heel plates they sell to make a internal fly wheel...

gm and any one that makes a fly wheel have different part numbers for a 454 and 400 they are both external wheels .BUT THEY ARE NOT THE SAME IF SO GM AND ANY ONE THAT MAKE THEM WOULD SELL ONE PART...
