This build just took an interesting twist. I just picked up a freebie 4wd S10 Blazer with a good running TBI350 and 700R. New plan will be to lengthen the Blazer frame with the 2wd frame. Keep the 4.3/700R4 and use an AWD transfer case. Drop the Dodge down on it, uncrank the torsion bars till its as low as I want it and make an Modern AWD Traditional Rod. Keeping the 2WD look, the Blazer frame is still IFS so it might take an extra look to see the CV axles up front.
