    whats the difference with the 6600 than the 3100 models other than the running gear and the frame

    Hmmm..... If my memory serves me correctly, the 3100 is a 1/2 ton model, I've never heard of a 6600, but there are many things I've never heard of. It sounds like a big truck, 2 ton, 21/2 ton..... larger maybe. If so, I think only the cab is the same as the 3100, everything else should be different (larger)

    But..... since I don't know what a 6600 is, I could be wrong.

    5ooos and up are cabovers and very different from the 3100. 3600 are 3/4 ton and so on...

    Without knowing what the transmission is exactly, it would be hard to tell; that said, I know that the 52 Chev truck standard 4-speed (with the granny gear) will bolt up to a 55 and later V8 bellhousing.

    This might not be the answer you are looking for, but my guess is that it will bolt up.
