 whats the difference with the 6600 than the 3100 models other than the running gear and the frame

 Hmmm..... If my memory serves me correctly, the 3100 is a 1/2 ton model, I've never heard of a 6600, but there are many things I've never heard of. It sounds like a big truck, 2 ton, 21/2 ton..... larger maybe. If so, I think only the cab is the same as the 3100, everything else should be different (larger)
 
 But..... since I don't know what a 6600 is, I could be wrong.

 Here is some good info. It doen't directly give you what you want but if you click on the links for each part of the truck it will tell you the specs for each model. Hope this helps a little

 5ooos and up are cabovers and very different from the 3100. 3600 are 3/4 ton and so on...1951 Chevy 3600 Long Box

 Without knowing what the transmission is exactly, it would be hard to tell; that said, I know that the 52 Chev truck standard 4-speed (with the granny gear) will bolt up to a 55 and later V8 bellhousing.
 
 This might not be the answer you are looking for, but my guess is that it will bolt up.
