I am glad you are having a good time watching the build.

Sorry I have been slacking on the pics, I am doing 10 things at one time these days. So We scored a set of weathered headers at the swap meet last week. They were 40 bucks and look perfect. We are also changing motors now, we get a small block out of a 80's camaro. So when we do final welding we will swap out the one we have for the new one.

Here are the shots we have so far.
    Many more to come saturday.

    Thanks

All in good time, this kind of speed is not Donnys and my normal speed. I got to sit in the seat today, and wow who would have thought that a crappy 80's patio chair would ever be useful?

Here are a few things we scored at this weeks swap meet. I got a drivers door handle, tail lights, a coil holder, intake, and a steering colum...yeah I know, it has tilt. And a gas tank, 61-64 chevy just like the one we have only it will hold gas! And a bad ass hood thingy...anyone know what it's from?

Things are really starting to take shape. Here are a few more pics, The coil holder, the brake pedal and the master. By this time next week we should have it all welded and the new moter swaped back in it.

Here we are doing a little trick to take the peak out of the roof. The shortened stearing colum is done, and you love the blinker handle.

The roof is filled, we had to weather the sheet so it would some what match the body. And man did it turn out perfect. So now the roof is all held togather, we chopped 3 inches out of the height. More on that later.

The top filler appears to have a double crown. Did you use metal from a later vehicle, and if so, what did you use?

No man, the top filler is a sheet of metal. Thats all, nothing too fancy.

Dude, we are so F-ing close I can taste it. So here is a run down of where we are at. We have 37 days left, and hopfuly we will not need all of them!

Here is a list of parts
    Body 1800
    1940 axle 100
    Dropped axle 350
    valve covers 40
    parts car 400
    air bags 100
    grill 40
    radiator 65
    calipers 20
    4 link parts 100
    steering col 20
    wheels 15
    tires 540
    shocks 75
    steering box 50
    gas tank 20
    brake master 100
    steel 50
    headers 40
    carb 25
    -----------------

    - 100 sold cat
    - 140 sold axle

$3710 Now I still have a ton of parts that I am going to sell once I know the car is all good. I am thinking that I have 500 to 800 bucks in stuff I can make a fast sale on. Witch will bring us back to the 3 grand mark. I new 2 weeks into this that we were going to go over it, but there are some things you need to buy new for safty reasons. I am going to drive my wife around in it, so I am not useing old tires and brakes, parts like that that should be new.
