Damnit man, every time i see a truck liek this, i think about tossing my 77 C10pproject out the window and selling my daily driven bagged 99 Sonoma and picking up one of these trucks to build a rat! You have one bad ass truck here man, i like it alot. Its been right and looks great.
I have access to virtually every S10 part that i can shake a stick at and i know S10s like the back of my hand (hence the daily driven bagged sonoma).
The trouble is finding one of these trucks like this anywhere in Northern IL that isnt rotted to absolute hell or that someone wants an enormous amount of money for. When i used to travel around the US alot and down south, i saw these everywhere. In fields, broken down barns, hell even the woods! But are there any in Chicago? Nooooo. \
On another note, what type of wood did you use? I have some old Cedar planks laying around in the yard (leftovers from a huge 3 level deck my parents built) and i have been itching to do something with them. I now may have found a use for them. I love the look of aged Cedar. I think it would look right at home on a truck like yours.

And the @#$%^!*&^!!!! electric wiper conversion is complete. It took forever to get the wipers to smoothly wipe the entire glass and be timed evenly.

Lowered the front bumper. Raised the rear by 1.5" Fixed my F'd up driveshaft. Did some more work on the dash.

You have worked so hard to get it where it is, it is a shame not to go show it off, but you're right about the heat.
Very good looking truck Flipper_1938. I myself am working on a 50 chevy 3600 to a 4x4 s10 swap. I just had a quick question for you. What did you do with your radiator. My core support is hitting the steering box and i really don't want to cut it up. Just curious to see what a fellow AD truck guy would do.

I angled my radiator out in front of the steering box. I am using a little radiator out of a toyota pickup with a tight fitting shroud and a big electric fan. I hope it works.Quote:

The big headers and big pipes sound killer. It idles about like a pro-stocker. A little on the loud side, but I'm gonna try it as is (well, maybe put turndowns on the mufflers).
Now I need a gas pedal so I can drive it.
