Hi Paul, Welcome to the forum. No, you aren't doing anything wrong other than using the wrong terminlogy to describe what you want to build. We have discussed this problem before on here. The words "rat rod" are starting to replace the correct term which is "hot rod." A rat rod is one of the usually rusty, poorly constructed cars that the builders somehow feel represent what grass root hot rods are. Most hot rodders see the term as offensive, especially when someone refers to your car that way.
The rod you are referring to is a Chip Foose hot rod, and is undoubtedly very high dollar........Chip doesn't work for peanuts.
So, just start referring to these cars as hot rods, and you will be in the right ballpark. Just thought you should know.

I saw last night on fb about John. The world sure lost a great one. I'm going to miss his humor, advice, and perspective from another portion of the world. Rest in Peace Johnboy.
