I was told previously (by younger members) that a street rod is "any car modified for performance".

They threw out the old standard that pre World War ll was a street rod, and post WWll was a street machine, and wrote a new rule! Now their gonna have to live by it!!!

By logical deduction: If any year can be a street rod, then any year can be a rat rod! >:-)
