Bob, look, if you are going to chop a car, CHOP IT. That little cut you took out of yours is barely noticable.

hot with most of my dough going on speed parts .. its still got a way to go
and i am planning on puttin the fenders and running boards back on the old ones were trash so i took them off ,
i have thought about putting a 35-36 radiator shroud on and leave the fenders off , like i said its a work in progress .

several years ago i bought 2 rusty old chevy trucks with good 454 motors and running gears with the intention of actually doing a chevy car .. i wanted to build a 70 camaro tribute car in honor of a long passed away friend who influenced my love of all things hot rod .. i looked for years trying to find a good candidate but never found anything within my budget.. i`m not paying 10 thousand $ for a rust bucket body .. but anywho i recently sold all the chevy stuff to a buddy then come on this site now and see what some of you folks are doing with these rat style rides and think " man " thats the coolest thing i have seen in years .. but now iv`e nuthing to work with .. but all is not lost .. i would gut my 351 pinto in a minute to build an old piece of rust and there is plenty around
that is awesome  .. i hope its "finished " :p
I just painted a 49 Chevy stake side very similar to that one. Came out great considering I had to remove the previous 4 blue paint jobs.......
Havent been around for a while...( been restoring old inboard boats).....just got a happy Thanksgiving day greeting from the site and thought Id post pics of one of my 37s I just sold last month. First time it had seen daylight in almost 20 years...

Well, Here's my Rat Rod, Traditional Rod, call it what you will. I call it FUN. SBF, 4 speed, 4 wheel disc brakes, 4 inch chop, 4 inch drop axle, coilovers, etc. It's my first Rod and I just built it this Spring and started driving it in August. What do you think???

i know don he's a legend i think i have an article about him and his accident in and old carcraft or hotrod magazine and he's the one who redesigned rail car draggsters from having the engine in the front to having it in the back he was on tv on some old dragster documentry on the speed channel or something. Wow small worldQuote:
