57 Olds rear brake parts needed.
I need everything for the brakes. Shoes, springs, ebrake stuff! Or does anyone know if there is a kit to adapt disc brakes to this?

There's a cheap and easy way to do it, but it does require redrilling your axles for 5 on 4 1/2" bolt circle... Maybe somebody else knows of a way to do it and retain the existing wheel pattern...Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Back when these were the rear axle of choice for drag cars, didn't someone like Airheart make disc brakes for this setup? I think I remember seeing these.

Oh man, your have a Hollander?? I here thats worth its weight in gold! So does it say what other years or models are interchangeable with the 57 olds rear? 57 Chevy parts seem to be abundant, but cant find out if theyre interchangeable.....

The book doesn't break down into springs and other small parts. The drums are one of they don't fit others part # 571054. Shoes are 11"x2 1/2" rear wheel cyl. 56 thru 58 part # 5456504-5.
I have a few old bendix books in the shop I'll check them in the AM
Hope this helpsLast edited by cffisher; 11-06-2006 at 07:08 PM.
