I need everything for the brakes. Shoes, springs, ebrake stuff! Or does anyone know if there is a kit to adapt disc brakes to this?

There's a cheap and easy way to do it, but it does require redrilling your axles for 5 on 4 1/2" bolt circle... Maybe somebody else knows of a way to do it and retain the existing wheel pattern...
Back when these were the rear axle of choice for drag cars, didn't someone like Airheart make disc brakes for this setup? I think I remember seeing these.

I checked it out and it looks like a good deal (depending on his reserve:rolleyes: ) But he wont ship. I emailed him for more info. Hell, if the price is right, I'll buy it and just have him ship me the break parts! He can keep the rest! :LOL:Quote:

The book doesn't break down into springs and other small parts. The drums are one of they don't fit others part # 571054. Shoes are 11"x2 1/2" rear wheel cyl. 56 thru 58 part # 5456504-5.
I have a few old bendix books in the shop I'll check them in the AM
Hope this helps
