    Actually I just went to your site.. a total frame off! You've probably lost more hair than me haha.. Mines a rolling restoration.
    There is another forum just for 48-60 Fords that is pretty helpful at www.ford-trucks.com go to forum and then 48-60.. lot of good guys (and gals) on there too.

    If your talking about the Ford Truck Enthusiast website, forget it...I'm banned from posting on that site. I have a Chevy engine in my Ford and it's on a Chevy S-10 frame. My wife is a die-hard Ford gal and she won't even go to that website. That's why I hang out here in CHR. If I can't get an answer here about a Ford problem, then I go to BonusBuilt.
    No, I didn't loose any hair. It was a total frame up build, but it was easier than I figured. Frame, engine, trans, driveshaft and rear end were all bolt ons. The rear of the cab frame opening had to be widened a couple of inches, but rests on the frame like it was meant to be there. The front cab mounts align right over the center of the frame, and the same for the rear mounts. I just had to use the cab mounting holes as a guide and drill through the frame, used one inch hard rubber shock pads, and bolted it all down.
    We didn't even have an engine hoist. We used a come-along suspended from a tree limb for both the engine and the body. The hard parts are going to be the interior, what to do with that damned dashboard, fabricating a new transmission hump, and fabricating a frame to mount the battery away from the manifold.
