I did a similar truck last year. I welded in panels at the top of the rear wheel wells and new cab corners. Painted it blue. I wouldn't take the job if he wanted black. This wasn't show quality. Just a work truck that wouldn't pass inspection. The front fenders, doors and rockers had been replaced before I worked on it. I charged $1500 for the bodywork and quickie paint job.
If you do your own patches and bodywork Maco will spray it for $250. the shine will only last about 1 year before it starts to break down unless you opt for the acrylic enamel for $399 or so.
