Nope the ebony is no more. I wish it were. It was gone long ago from what I was told... I remember when I first started to learn to paint an old timer showed and told me about it and it was awesome. Next thing in line to that is 3M's black/dark grey swirl remover which works great. For my detailing I only use Optimum products now but for body shop use I still use 3M...

Their polish with paint sealant in it is an awesome final polish which will seal the paint for months unlike a typical wax that only lasts weeks if not for only 2 months or so tops. I think I may have explained this in a earlier posting here though so I wont go on about it.

Cleanranger....there is some truth to that but not all of that. #m purchased Meguiars a few months back. We have a product called SOLO where you use 1 product but use several types of pads to get the finish you are looking for. #m will adopt the same type of product if not exactly the same. But I am not sure how many lines they have that will go away. But they should cut back in some areas as should Meguiars.
There are some good tips in this thread and some others that I think are not so good. But if it works I guess that is all that matters.
