    I look at it this way...... it is your car or your body and you can do as you please. You will always have the traditional cars that look great and then you have the ones that are less main strem. Both attract attention but at the end of the day you only have to please one person.
    Before street rods I was into Vettes big time. The Vette people can be traditionalist to the end. I am not. I made soome changes to a newer Vette and took a ton of slack for it. Now I see the same items and ideas on hundreds of them.
    I decided to mold glass covers to cover the ugly engine and do a paint scheme that was something that was very dear to me and a strong passion.
    People said why....I said why not?
    I gave the patterns to a few and now I see tons of stuff.
    Here are a few pics of those enigne covers ( I ended up doing 2 sets)
    Just som eglass and paint but it changed the entire car.
    So bottom line do what makes you happy
