At least he didn't try to put Mustang wheels on it. Seriously though, he totally strips and repaints the car about every 2 years, so if you don't like this paintjob, just wait a bit for the next one. It's not for me either, but he loves it and thats all that matters... I will say it draws a TON of attention everywhere he takes it, which is cool. sorta dig how from more than 10 feet away it just looks like a charcoal grey flame job on yellow... you really need to get up fairly close to start seeing everything that's going on in the flames.

Well it has 4 wheel independent suspension and radial tires, so that should make you all warm and fuzzy inside if nothing else.

Tatoos on the "ridiculous side" as opposed to tatoos on the backside, Dave?

    I've seen them there, too!

Sorry I have a black 32 highboy with a small block and dropped front axle and you don't like it. Sorry my buddy has a "tattoo" flame job and you don't like that either, even if it is, as you say, "unlike anything else on the street". I just posted some pics to show some folks what I thought was a pretty unique flame job that's not like everyone elses. Dave, do you happen to have any pics of these high tech/cutting edge/unlike anything else/ hot rods you've built?

Don't have any idea where you get that I build HiTech cutting edge stuff, but my gallery is full of pics of some of my projects. Didn't mean to have you get all upset... I got bored with flame jobs last time they went out of style. Not your car, you didn't do the work, what's the big deal anyway???? So I guess I should be politically correct, follow the crowd, tell you it's great or what???? Geez, chill out dude!!!! If I don't like something, I say so. Sorry for being truthful...Just my way I guess..... Being an old fashioned geezer is tough, ya know?????

PS--Or is this still cuz I hurt your feelings on the bias tires??????

I look at it this way...... it is your car or your body and you can do as you please. You will always have the traditional cars that look great and then you have the ones that are less main strem. Both attract attention but at the end of the day you only have to please one person.
Before street rods I was into Vettes big time. The Vette people can be traditionalist to the end. I am not. I made soome changes to a newer Vette and took a ton of slack for it. Now I see the same items and ideas on hundreds of them.
I decided to mold glass covers to cover the ugly engine and do a paint scheme that was something that was very dear to me and a strong passion.
People said why....I said why not?
I gave the patterns to a few and now I see tons of stuff.
Here are a few pics of those enigne covers ( I ended up doing 2 sets)
Just som eglass and paint but it changed the entire car.
So bottom line do what makes you happy
