Yes I mean a finishing DA. If you use a cheap clear coat and start DAing with 1200 and then the 3000 you will notice the paper clogs up quick and those little clog dots make the swirls and when you buff the car out (especially when it is a dark color) you will see the tiny swirl marks. High cut compound will take care of them after some work with it but if you use the Trizac my 3M which is for 3,000 sand scratches then it doesn't take care of it well. That is why I prefer the whole hand sanding and come back over with the Trizac compound and polishing pad polish. I am getting a bit off topic, sorry.
