The other two, I run a little faster, since the abrasive level is less. The Meguiars seems to work well, since it is a deteriorating compound. As you buff, the compound gets less abrasive. on the rubbing with wool pad i run them much slower than foam if i use a mid foam pad for mild cutting compound i will run this slow too but for the finish. i will run it faster with finish polish with light load on the buffer. i do not look at speed that much but how it works at the rpm and play with the speed. paint that is set up can take more heat . speed= heat with a foam pad there is more pad on the paint and will add more heat than wool so if it very fresh paint i will craw the pad foam and wool a lot of times i had to wheel very fresh paint i would cut the paint with 1200 and let it breath and ruff rub and let it set and then hit it with foam
