"Catalyzed" means it has had a hardener added to it just before spraying.

I don't know about that Dupont product, but using catalyzed primer is the only way to go. I have used just about every type "air-dry" lacquer and enamel primer. the advantages to this over any air dried product are well worth any extra cost.
