Someone like HOTRODPAINT will be able to give you something more in-depth, but essentially catalyzed primer is two-part that doesn't rely on air drying, but on chemical reaction to cure.
A lot of advantages over conventional primer.

Right after I posted yesterday it was down again, I don't think it's getting better.
