Paste wax IS the WORST possible product you can put on any finish...first off your paint is not a wooden floor..and that yellows..there is NO protective qualities in wax period....it's got nothing to do with spending extra money...I'm telling you facts....My brother is in the Air Force, he is a lifer...he is a crew chief on the C-130's and was on the F-4's and the SR-71 Blackbird.....one day in the 80's he came home on leave and asked me a very unusual question..He asked..are you still waxing your cars??,,I said yes...he told me the Air Force just got done with a 5 year study, which he was a part of,on the effects of waxes on both painted and Aluminum surfaces...the wax was holding and drawing in moisture that was causing the Airframes to oxidize at extreme rates and the aircraft were having to be reskinned.... also noted there is NO protection offered whatsoever...it washes off in 3 washings.... silicones were also teasted and those were even worse...Two Chemists developed this product that not only met the Military's requirements, but exceded it to where all branches of the military uses it......it's on AIR FORCE 1...and that's a fact.....
so keep on paste waxing...this is the 21st century and there is a whole lot of new products out there that are so superior to FLOOR wax.....

For scratches in glass....I found that as long as they aren't real bad, using one of two products from Griot's Garage works great.....both are for glass and one is more aggressive than the other......luckily I live about 20 miles from the main office so I get many delailing part/products there.....I use the glass polish on all my cars..........no morw rain/water spots

PS. The first SR-71 to enter service was delivered in 1966 and due to politics, it was retired in 1990. Probably 'cuse it rotted out too? [/B][/QUOTE]

Gee, Rod and Custom, now where have I heard that name before. Oh, yeah, it was copyrighted in the 50's by Peterson Publication and now belongs to Pimedia Publications. Don't you think you might run into some legal hassels there.

I agree with STREETS, I've been using paste waxes for almost 40 years and have had no problems with them.

For water spots on my Mercury Outboard (why would they make something like this black?) I have used a water spot remover called Ducky. Not sure how it would work on cars, but it works on my Mercury.

    Check it out at www.duckyproducts.com

Of course, that's just my opinion, I could be wrong!

Wow.... I am the youngest one here and I see all this complaining going on and I see it's all older people. Haha nah just messing with you, just trying to joke a bit to get you guy's to not start arguing. How about this... beleive what you wan't and if it works then great keep doing what you wan't and if you don't think so then don't use it and use something that you think works... There we go problem solved so no more complaining. I am not taking no sides here so don't get pissed at me, I just don't wan't this thing turning into a huge argument thread instead of a "Water Spots" thread because of course you will be off topic (it's not like I am ever on topic) and whatever else. Just change the subject now so I can shut up and quit blabbing on. lol
