My Everyday Ride
I also have a 86 Monte Carlo SS with the original 305 in it. Its my toy. Hope to do a restore this summer. Paint, crate engine and new interior. Interior work is all new to me so I am looking for any info on it. I got my eye on a industrial sewing machine from over at Harbor freight.
Be carefull with those 305s. Due to low-flow heads and small bores, they had to use the aluminum johnson rods in order to keep the costs down. However, if you manage to decode pro60s information, you may find the info you need to convert the 305 to the standard triple-roller johnson Rods used in the 315 mopar wankel engines in order to keep in this plane of reality!:LOL::whacked:

I thought in 86 Johnson was on GM's double secret probation so GM uses Johnson like rods but not Johnson originals. This is one of the reasons I decided on a crate engine.
The other reason is that the 305 in any form is a POS and I can get a NEW 350 4 bolt for around $1200.
:3dSMILE: just joined the site and he's already talkin about johnson rods:eek: your gonna fit right in Gorn:LOL:
