    1948 Dodge truck

    Just a little info,

Been a member of yahoo groups thisoltruck for a while and looking to branch out a little. I have a
'48 Dodge truck I've been working on for about a year and still working hard on it. Not sure wether to go with the standard 350 chevy or stick with MOPAR.

    Welcome to CHR hemi-boy.
Post a lil bigger pix ,if'n you can , of your ride there, so we can see.

and about the engine... I'd stick that 4.7 L, out of that Dakota Quad in it.
or find you a newer dodge, cheap ( body damage at salvage ) and switch out the computer/motor "and amaze your friends"

It's about the work and time "you have" to put into it..... Oh ya money .....

either way is good ! as long as it doesn't sit and go to waste...
    hope you have fun here.

Your considering putting a GM mill in that sweet little pickup? Did you ever consider an early hemi, or at least a sb mopar?

Thanks for the replies! I decided to go with a Mopar motor, maybe not a hemi, since they are so hard to find in my price range! I do have a 360 (needs total rebuild) for it tho. Have gotten alot of parts from friends as well. Hopefully, I can contribute some info for this group.
