Hi Guys!!
I was allowed to run at the track today at our Mopar Euronational event. There was some seriously cool metal on site today My MG was dwarfed by the cars around me in the pairing lane

I wont go into a long story but suffice to say, by the time I got to run I was flustered. I did my burnout and got almost into stage when I realised I had not turned the rear brakes back on. So I had to quickly undo the harness so I could reach the valve on the floor. By this time the racer in the other lane had fully staged and was already up on the revs on the transbrake before I even got to pre stage. So I got into full stage and for some reason had my left foot on the brake and left the engine at idle instead of pre loading the tranny and rear end on the foot brake?? When I planted my foot she bogged a bit and then back fired as I was already on the spray with low rpm. So she bogged and then backfired just as the car was getting settled into the launch. I backed off the pedal for a split second and then got my foot back in. I set the nitrous ramp time to 0.6 of a second so as I put my foot back in the revs were higher and the whole 150 shot came in full on. To say the car was unsettled is an understatement? As I left the line I could feel a slight shuddering for a couple of seconds. The Slo Mo vid now explains that odd feeling from the rear end as the tyres were not happy. I think I may need to add a couple of psi to the rear tyres for my next visit tomorrow ??
Once the car got settled she ran like a mad thing and still hauled in a 138mph even though I was half a second slower that I should have been. The 60 foot time was 1.9 seconds, so 0.6 of a second slower than it should have been. Which sort of explains the 10.3 instead of a 9.7 which i did on the next pass.
Sorry its a Slo Mo with no sound. Click full screen and watch the rear tyres once the car starts to settle down ??
Regards to all
