Welcome, and that's a great looking Lincoln! Having so much history on it, and being a family car makes it even more special!
Never have done a Lincoln, but I've done a few Mercs. The chop has to be done just right, too much and the car loses it's identity. Got some pictures in my gallery of a couple, there both glass bodied cars but the car the molds came off of was an original steel car with a chop.
The original frame is a stout piece, if the job putting the 'maro front on was done correctly and the frame itself isn't all rotted away you might want to stay with what you have, also pictures in my gallery of a couple frames I did for the Mercs.
As with any car, it's important to have a good plan before you start anything on the car, sounds like you have that part taken care of! I usually put it all down on paper, then start filling in details for the plan as they are worked out!Last edited by Dave Severson; 05-14-2011 at 07:17 AM.
