Hi from Quaketown!!

I found an excellent American beer in a pub in Los Angeles.
I'd asked the barman for his darkest beer and he came up with a bottle called "Arrogant Bastard".
Interesting name; tried two or three and then stood up to leave.
Whoa world!
Man that stuff had a kick...just as well I hadn't sampled more!

If you like really dark ales and can find it Boulevard Brewery here in KC has a new "Smoke Stack Series" with some great brews. One is "Dark Truth Stout" which is a 9.7% ABV ale, and the 2011 version of their "Imperial Stout" will release in a few days at 11% ABV!!
