I found an excellent American beer in a pub in Los Angeles.
I'd asked the barman for his darkest beer and he came up with a bottle called "Arrogant Bastard".
Interesting name; tried two or three and then stood up to leave.
Whoa world!
Man that stuff had a kick...just as well I hadn't sampled more!
