Welcome also from me in the deep south of earth. It is good to have a young man to help and learn about building Hot Rods just remember to add a touch of petrol in his drinks to keep the juices following. We also love photos of your project and one with the father son beside the truck would be great.
I maybe a little crazy but it stops me going insane.

    Welcome to the zoo!!!

Lots of knowledge and experience floating around here, all available for the asking!

Glad to hear you've got your son involved, years ago my son & I built a '48 Chebbie 5 window 1/2 ton truck. He drove it all through high school, and according to our agreement, when he went on to college I bought him a more driveable rig.

What did he want? A truck with an air conditioner!

My daughter also drove the '48 for awhile until she backed into a tree after track practice.
