Now that I look at the two pictures I agree with Roger, no skirts look better. I also wouldn't throw out the baby with the bathwater, I would consider keeping that 6 and modifying it. I understand you may want more hp, so that would be a good reason for an engine swap, but 6's have gained respect and lots of guys are putting 2 and 3 carbs on them, dual exhaust, and stuff like that. Split exhaust on a 6 has a great, unique sound, and when you pop the hood people in the know will love it. Just an opinion.
