Thanks for the tip.
I know about the Mercedes brakes, but the reason for me to use them in the first palce was because they build very nice and good front ends here in Scandinavia where they use Mercedes spindles. The parts are easy to find and the bolt pattern is the same as Chevrolet.Originally posted by Matt167
Hey Staleg, If you have not gotten the disc brakes yet, A good donar car for these are the 240D's, They have 4wd disc brakes and a seperate drum brake on top of the rear discs for the E brake. I have a 83' 240D and my dad has an 83' 240D and we are amazed at how well these car's stop. there are wires that go in the pads for sensors that, tell the brake light to come on when the brakes are worn ( don't know how it works ), you could use the sensory system in your 34' by getting all of that out of the Benz, the sensors are very, very accurate.
The car will also a lot easier pass the local traffic authority when it's the same breaking system all the way around.
