saying hello & saying great site!

    Hello to all,
I came across this site searching for IFS forums. First and formost let me say, they are some nice people here! I'm 33yrs old and I'm more into muscle cars than hot rods, but they are all hot rods in one way or another, right? ....But I finely found my first "major" project I want to do. Always thought I'd build a 427 Cobra, even had blue prints copied from my dad's friend when he built his years back. Well, the intrest pulled me but never enough to go any farther. So now, I found it. Most of you may say blah, but maybe not, anyhow it's a Reverse Trike. Two wheels in front powerd by a single rear wheel. Most are with a sport bike motor/rear. Well, I spent many years in the auto body industry and then doing many fabs for my service business and grew up with the family always into hot rods, muscle, etc.,
.... I joined here to learn more about IFS. (didn't do much frame work in body shops) I hope to help others as much as I have already been helped from others here and their post. One thing that I would like to mention is a forum that has great guys there re:fabricating. Not trying to spam the forum here by any means, just thought that many may find it helpful even if it learns tord off roading, but the site is http://www.offroadfabnet.com/
Any how, nice to met you all!
    Kyle

Welcome Kyle!!! We gotta talk about the reverse Trike!!! My balance is all messed up from a couple different medical problems so I don't do 2 wheelers anymore.... Sure would like a trike though!! I saw a brochure and a short video on the Bombardier trike, very nice unit but very expensive and hard to get your hands on!!! We've talked about it a bit, and thought maybe the A-Arms off of a sport quad would be the ticket!!! I did notice on the Bombardier that they have an electronic stability control....Suppose the one in back and two in front would have a tendancy to high side quite easy or? I would think a properly sized and placed sway bar would do the same thing.

Anyway, welcome to CHR!!!! If it goes fast and has wheels, somebody on here has probably built one or has one!!! Very diversified bunch, a muscle car is a much a Hot Rod as any Deuce coupe around here!!! Hope you enjoy your time on the site...

    hehee, thank you.

The reverse trike (r/t) that I'm looking to build or start this winter is more like ones below. Although 2 wheels are in my blood like being a Chevy man, Ford man, etc., I do not like riding on the road like I used to.(not 18 anymore and had a car turn in front of me then, lucky no major injuries except the mental part of relaxing on 2 wheels) So, I found my road with building a r/t like these:
    http://www.go-t-rex.com
    morankitcar.com (Raptor)
    xzilarator.com
more of what I plan to build like here:

    It's a motorbike with a trainer wheel!
Nah, just being facetious, although I will say the three-wheel farm-trikes we used to have years ago were renowned for their instability.
I managed to tip ours over several times......got rid of it in the finish, it was just too dangerous.
    Anyway, welcome to CHR.

Kyle, Welcome to CHR!! Like Dave, I'd would be real interested in your R/T build. I rode two wheelers for 30 years but slowly stopped due to a couple of accidents and over crowded highways with too many cell phone talking idiots behind the wheel. I have considered a trike in the past but never got past the thinking part, with the exception of having two 1975 Gold Wings sitting in my garage. Wouldn't bother me none, to cannibalize one of them for parts for a trike.

Post a lot of pictures, we old guys love pictures. Plus it might just light the fire in me once again.
