Hot Rod...
Well at the risk of starting a controversy I can only answer with my own oppinion which is...
If you are modifying the car/truck for better performance and asthetics in my mind it is a "hot rod"... I think rock crawlers and monster trucks are built for performance therefore making them Hot Rods...
I also belive that Hot Rodding is also about the builder/owner and their frame of mind... Reguardless of the build style or the classification of the car it is all about the attitude for me... A real hot rod should appeal to all of your sences... Look, sound, touch (texture) and smell can all help identify a vehicle as a hot rod...
Stricktly my oppinion... others may tink differently...
