I have to agree with mopar34, the "tall" block wedge is a great motor. A couple of things make them not popular; weight and cost to build are the first to come to mind. They don't need to turn high RPM's and can last forever being flogged a lot. A racer years ago bought an old funny car and dropped in a 440 and ruled his et class and never turned it over 5600 rpm and ran for 4 years with out any major work.
