Hey, I am new to this forum and am looking for some ideas and help. Me and a friend are going to tackle a project of sticking a 440 in a GenIII dakota ('98) club cab. It will be used for street and strip during the summer and be driven to shows. The 440 is setup right now for about 500 HP and 520 torque. With a 727 tranny and JW Performance, 11" 2600 stall converter This is my first build, but I have a friend with alot of experience, so I am just trying to get some opinions on parts I can look for in the next month or so, before we start up the build. The engine bay is stripped down already and bare. I have ideas for some parts, but would like others opinions as to what the best setup would be. I already upgraded the fuel system to a complete sx fuel system with stainless braided lines. I already have a MSD digital 7 plus for the ignition, a C&R 2 core 1.75" tube rad., and a CSI electric water pump. For the carb I am probably going to go with a BIGS Stage 5 750, 1" tall, phenolic carb spacer between the carb and intake. The rear is a 8 3/4 stock r/t setup fromt he dakotas with a wishbone linkage setup on it. I believe the rear should hold up, any suggestions if I should go with a different rear, or any mods I should make to it? I will almost for sure have to shorten it already for my tires.

As for headers does anyone know of anything that will work or am I probably better off getting some custom headers made? I was think something with a primary pipe design of 1.75". Any recommendations for exhaust? What about intake? If anyone has any suggestions on any parts they would feel that would work best on the truck, or any suggestions for the install and setup it would be greatly appreciated. The more input I can get from people will only make for the best setup. Thanks alot!!!
