There are a few factors that enabled me to put that console in. 1st I searched for a long time to find the skinniest one I could and it is only around 4 or 5". wide. 2nd I found the skinniest seats I could, about 22". wide. 3rd since I moved my firewall back about 10" to fit the Hemi I also moved the seats back to the widest part of the car. And 4th I was able to move my steering column a little to the left to line up almost center with my seat.Mark Smith
Who better to do it then yourself?

I just picked this up, 1952 Canadian Pontiac Chieftain (Yes they are the same body as a 52 Chevy). Believe it or not, this guy had to get rid of it because his buddy wanted it out of his garage. Rust on the rear wheel wells but rest is solid including the floors.

Made a little change to the '32 frame that will probably end up under the '30 coupe. The punched plates are compliments of Ionia Speed Shop.Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon

. I probably should have mounted my seats and inch or so further apart on either side because I think I'd be lucky to fit a console nearly half that wide, but I was worried about feeling too close to the door especially once I have door panels.
