Bob does this car by chance have air bag suspension? The reason I ask is some years back my dad had one that he started to have work done too in Arizona and the bags were one thing that I can remember from pics he sent me. I believe it was in black primer when he traded it for 56 chev delivery wagon.
hope you can get past the bitterness of your 36. These things are enough work without something like that hanging over you every time you try working on them.Mark Smith

Been playing around with trying to decide if the 30 coupe should move ahead of the 28 roadster and take over the already built chassis. So I took the roadster body off the chassis and dropped the coupe on. It was okay, but the pinch in the frame at the cowl is better suited to the narrower cowl of the '28 than the '30, so back off with the coupe and back on with the roadster. The rails on the floor will become the '30 chassis, with a milder pinch more in keeping with the cowl of the coupe. Working alone requires relying on equipment to lift the body, especially the heavier coupe. Now it's on a rolling platform designed to keep the body square for the chop to come.Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon
It's much easier to promise someone a "free" ride on the wagon than to urge them to pull it.
Luck occurs when preparation and opportunity converge.

Sorry for the late response. I didn't get any notifications of new posts in quite a while. I went with SPI clear and they recommended a paint company but all I can read on the can now that there is paint all over it is Pro Spray. Pretty spendy stuff I will tell you that.
I just got most of it together today. Should be taking it for a drive next week if all goes well. Windshield will be in Monday.
For some reason to me these cars never look good in pictures but I sure like them in person.
How do you like the way the Grille turned out Bob?Mark Smith

Mr. Smith, I just noticed the late 60's T bird in the background. Is that yours too? I've always wondered what one of those would look like with big rims, etc. Wanna post of pic of it?"It is not much good thinking of a thing unless you think it out." - H.G. Wells

Just completing my 1948 International Truck project. 10 months labor and will be running the Hot Rod Magazine Power Tour from Cocoa Beach, Fl to Detroit, Mi the first of June. Put 40 miles on it yesterday. 283 chevy engine, 700r4 trans, 88 camaro rear suspension and rear end. Have to upholster the interior yet and a few adjustments and we will be ready to go.

Nice project vehicle - the good ol' 'binders look great with some TLC. Congratulations on saving another old truck from becoming a part of a new foreign made econoboxDave W

fair enough..I have 19's on my '06 GTO and I think they are the biggest that looks good my car. As it is the 19's ride a bit rough I can only imagine what those 22's (?) feel like!
I like the truck Gary...more and more I think my next one will be a chopped and channeled pickup.Last edited by 35fordcoupe; 04-03-2011 at 08:26 AM.
