Finally took some pics of Mike's Cutlass, should have cleaned the car a bit before I took the pics!!!

Anyway, what was left of the stock dash was rusted out along the windshield so I cut out all the bad stuff and replaced it with good stuff! Mike wanted the gauges up where he could see them, so rather then get a repop dash, I just built this one. He also wanted the shifter where his hand would fall right on it without leaning forward or reaching so I built a console for it, too. (Cage and tubs were already installed years ago.)

The car sat outside for about 4 months with no glass in it, so I had to do a bunch of grinding and sanding to get the tubs and the rest of the interior panels and floor ready for paint. I'd almost forgotten how much fun it was to clean, sand, prep, and paint a bunch of roll bars!!! Just picture a crippled old dude playing on a jungle gym!!!!!!!

The color is HOK Pagan Gold. Florescent lights and a cheapo camera don't do the color justice, I'll get some good pics when the car is done and sitting outside so that Randy the picture Sheriff doesn't chastise me again, I still have bruises!

WOW, big difference since the last pics we saw. Interesting color, the pic of the tubs (3rd one down) shows the depth of the color I think.

Cool approach on the dash, simple and effective.

And I'm glad you put those pics up, as his deputy, you know how he'll beat on me for sleeping on the job!

'course we won't mention how his own project has been mia...

Thanks for the comments guys! The bruises are getting better, however the broken bones will take a bit longer Randy!!!! As for the "old guy playing on a jungle gym" I'll have to leave that up to your imagination!

Now I'm finishing up the wiring and waiting to see if Mike wants to bring the engine up and set it in the car before I put the front sheetmetal back on....

Nice work Dave. I like the color.
Kind of a green flake under the gold. Really like the custom guage mounts you fabbed and the console. One of these days when the cold starts to get to you during the winter, I have a nice warm place for you to work on an old truck with free food! Roger recently gave me a beating over not posting pictures, didn't realize he was related to Randy!

Had to go look for the software that we use, had a couple printouts in the tool box.

Here's a link to the one we use, works great!!!

    RaceWORKS drag racing software

same company offers a lot of racing electronics, sure beats trying to use that blank area where my memory used to be!!!!!

I normally don't have a lot to share (but I lurk a lot!), and I seem to suck at posting pictures (either they come up as attachments or are too small), but I'll give 'er a try-

I took a week off of Work and concentrated on my Car-first, I installed a new Concept One Serpentine system (after I used Shineseal (the old Zoop's seal on it), and I chose concept One for a few reasons-they would custom make me a Crank Pulley (one that was shorter, so that I could use my Holley Dominator Crank Trigger, and, they also made a spacer behind the Pully so that I could use, say, an MSD Crank trigger in the future).

Then, I found a Machine Shop that would inlet my Crank Trigger bracket into the Concept One mount (they did a nice job)-

After thatt, I used red Scotchbrite pads and scuffed my entire Interior and then shot it with Lizardskin, and then used all of the Dynamat that I had (I re-ordered this morning for enough to finish)-I am just starting to put a few things back in, and I hope things will move faster as I mocked up the entire Interior before I tore it apart for the Lizardskin-Here are a few pictures (maybe?)-

    (See Pictures below)

I size mine at 640 X 480, seems to be a decent size for posting on here.
